メリクリスマス、みなさん！

One of my favorite descriptions about Christ coming to this world is
from the book of Isaiah, chapter 9.
Verses 6 and 7.

私たちのために一人の男の子が与えられます。 しかも、その手にすべての主権が握
られるのです。 その子は、「すばらしい助言者」「全能の神」「永遠の父」「平和の君」と
いう肩書きをもらいます。7日増しに努力を重ね、平和を実現する彼の政治は、決してす
たれません。 彼は先祖ダビデの王座につき、完全な正しさをもって支配します。 世界
中の国に、本物の正義と平和とはこんなものだと手本を示すのです。 天の軍勢の主が本
腰を入れてぶつかるので、このことは必ず実現します。

In English:
To us a child is born,
to us a son is given
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor
Mighty God
Everlasting Father
Prince of Peace
Of the increase of his government and peace
there will be no end.
He will rain on David's throne
and over his kingdom
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty will establish this.

Today was very good! At 11:30, I woke up. That is later than usual!
I read all day. After that, I talked on the phone with a friend. I talked with Ahyoung. After that, I ate dinner. I ate with my dad at "In and Out."
Now I am writing this blog!

I've recently become quite keen on Japanese. I just began learning the language this year, so my ability is far from impressive. Basic, at best. But I thought I would practice what I've been taught on this here blog. Hopefully I'll be able to see my writing improve, force myself to learn new phrases, and get some tips along the way!

はじめまして！絵美フェントンです。十九さいです。アメリカ人です。フレズノのしゅっしんです。でも、すまいはアーバーインです。UCI大学の学生です。ニ年生です。私の大学が大好きです！せんこうはこくさい学です。こくさい学はとてもはとてもおもしろいです！日本へいきたい！それで、日本語をべんきょうしまして。

(Nice to meet you! My name is Emily Fenton. I am 19 years old. I am American. I'm from Fresno. But I reside in Irvine. I go to UCI University. I am a second year college student. I love my university! My major is international studies. International studies is very interesting! I want to go to Japan! Therefore, I am studying Japanese.
